FOMO is back, are YOU?

Investors jumping headfirst into the markets while ignoring warnings from the Fed

The stock market is experiencing a nice snapback from last year’s Fed-induced sell-off. Tech companies, primarily driven by the potential growth of A/I, are seeing euphoric rises eerily resembling the dot.com era of 1999. The top ten stocks in the S&P 500 account for 90% of the index’s performance.

The bond market is showing the same confidence with an inverted yield curve that supports the Fed lowering rates in the future.

Meanwhile, the actual Fed is telling us a different story.  Interest rates will continue to go up until inflation hits their target of 2%.  “Don’t Fight the Fed” seems to have been quickly pushed aside to jump on the stock market bandwagon.  Warning signs are flashing.
